A Different Middle-earth: A King's Tale

Every storyteller has a different motive: some seek power and wealth, others love and revenge. Some strive for adventure and passion, while others fight for justice and peace. In one of these many worlds—a distorted version of Middle-earth—a young man’s journey begins. However, the peace of this day is a deception. Our hero was once an ordinary teenager who died protecting a friend in a gang fight. He wakes up to find himself in a Middle-earth that is vastly different from the tales he knew. In this realm, Elves, Humans, and Dwarves share the land with darker shadows: Vampires, Liches, Werewolves, Hydras, and Basilisks. The history of this world is not what was told in the books. While our hero sets out for the Shire to find Gandalf and Thorin, he acquires a Kingdom Building System, turning his survival mission into an epic quest to carve out his own destiny. --- ⚠️ WARNING FOR TOLKIEN PURISTS: This is a Radical Alternative Universe (AU). While the foundation of this world is built upon Tolkien’s original work vast parts of history and lore have been fundamentally rewritten. You will encounter familiar landmarks and themes, but the origins of races like Orcs and Dark Elves, and the inclusion of entirely new creatures, mark a deep departure from the original books. Fanfiction is about exploration and "What if" scenarios. If you are looking for a story that strictly adheres to the established canon, this is NOT for you. If you want the original story, the books are always there to be reread. --- What to expect: Grounded MC: No overpowered protagonist. Success is earned, not given. No Harem: While the MC remains loyal to one person, you might encounter side characters or world elements where harems exist. Strategic System: The system is for management and kingdom building, not a "cheat code" for instant strength. Complex Hero: A slightly chaotic yet serious protagonist. A Multiverse Twist: Potential appearances from different anime universes and John Flanagan’s works. Alternative Universe: This is a radical departure from the original Hobbit and LOTR canon.
