The Mu-Ryong Clan, once revered as the guardians of the Frozen Mountain, lies in ruins. Framed for treason by the Emperor’s court, their patriarch is dragged away in chains, and their ancestral fortress burns. Only three children remain alive—Tae (14), Lian (12), and Yun (10)—fleeing with their mother into the merciless winter wasteland.
But they are not warriors. Not yet.
Their martial arts are unfinished, their qi weak. Tae’s Frozen Fist lacks power, Lian’s ice illusions barely fool the eye, and Yun’s Rimefire Eyes—glimpses of a terrifying black sun—are more curse than gift. Behind them, the Emperor’s hunters close in: the silent, relentless Black Tide Division and the traitorous Crimson Teeth, who know the children’s weaknesses all too well.
With no allies, no sanctuary, and strength fading, the Mu-Ryong heirs stumble upon a crumbling ruin—a nameless, forgotten tomb of ice and dead refugees. Beneath it, they find something worse than death:
The Event Horizon.
A gateway of black ice, pulsing like a sleeping heart. It whispers to Yun. It shows him things that should not be. And as the hunters descend, the children face an impossible choice—die by the blade, or risk what lies beyond the door.
But the Event Horizon is not a treasure. Not a weapon.
It is hunger.
And it has been waiting for them.
