Lansnat is a city cloaked in perpetual rain and shadow, where the mundane routine of life is played out in the dim light of corner bars. But one evening, as twilight falls, a brutal double murder shatters the quiet.
Veteran Detective Carl is assigned the case – two young lovers found dead in Nightdew Gardens, killed with impossible precision, their bodies left in a chilling pose. His investigation leads him into the humid confines of Le Petit Café, the last place the victims were seen alive. Inside, Carl finds an unlikely collection of patrons – a mysterious, elegant gentleman; a nervous, solitary office worker; a gruff construction laborer; and a wary bartender, all of whom were present on the night of the murder.
As Carl questions the witnesses and gathers evidence, the case quickly spirals beyond a simple homicide. Impossible alibis, baffling infrastructure malfunctions, strangely killed animals, and unsettling coincidences begin to pile up, hinting at a truth far stranger and darker than Carl's years on the force have prepared him for.
What begins as a grim noir investigation slowly unravels, revealing hints of a hidden conflict, ancient prophecies whispered in the shadows, and entities operating just beyond human sight. As Carl gets closer to the truth, he finds himself warned off by shadowy figures and realizes he's become a pawn in a game far larger—and far deadlier—than he could have imagined.
In Lansnat, some doors should never be opened, and discovering the truth might cost Carl more than just his life.
