On an ordinary Tuesday morning, the sky turns gold and the world ends — not with destruction, but with transformation. Twenty-three-year-old Kael Drayven, a broke delivery driver with forty-two dollars in his bank account and a reputation for pointing out things people would rather not hear, receives no class at first. His assessment stalls. The system searches. Then it goes somewhere it has apparently never gone before and returns with something it has never assigned in this or any previous integration cycle.
