Consumed by overwhelming negative emotions, some transformed into terrifying creatures known as Umbra, monsters that threaten the fragile balance of society.
Governments quickly formed special academies and organizations to train those who awakened with power, preparing them to protect humanity from the growing chaos.
Among them is Ishaan Rathore, an eighteen-year-old student who witnessed tragedy years ago when a monster took the life of someone precious to him. On the night of the Great Aurora Event, a beam of mysterious light strikes him directly, awakening a power unlike anything he has ever imagined.
