Feng Jiu strolled leisurely, her gaze drifting to her two well-behaved sons beside her. A tender, doting expression softened her eyes as a smile touched her lips. "If you see anything you like," she told them, "just say the word. Mother will buy it for you."
Hearing this, the boys looked up at her, smiling as they replied, "Mm hmm! Thank you, Mother." Truthfully, they had money of their own—their cosmos sacks held many treasures, and wealth was no exception.
Being boys, they weren't particularly drawn to trinkets. Instead, they simply held their Mother's hand as they strolled down the street, taking in the bustling night market.
Arriving at the night market on West Street, they found a small stall by the roadside, sat down, and ate some snacks.
