"Ugh." Davis grunted and sent his investigating soul wisp to penetrate her soul essence, "To think whatever's happening to you also blocks you from realizing it. This must really be an innate kind of mental affliction that stems from a bloodline or a physique. It's quite similar to what my Eden experiences, but it seems different. Let me check your seven physical souls."
"That-" Esvele's eyes narrowed, thinking it was dangerous.
It was more invasive than soul-scouring techniques and carried greater hazards, capable of leaving lasting damage.
However, she believed in Davis's abilities as a Saint, so she kept her mouth shut and suppressed her worry. She did so easily that it made Davis nearly pause again. This woman's control over her emotions was making a Heart Intent addict like him uncomfortable.
If Xiu Juili was capable of fooling Heart Intent with her Three-Eyed Divine Jade Pupil Physique, then a quasi-emotionless person like Esvele was a silent nemesis.
