There was plenty of bloodshed in their path, although there was no sign of corpses. They guessed these corpses were taken away or that the pursuers had managed to escape.
As Rath Heavenshade followed the traces of poison for a few hours, he stopped them, saying something was not right.
He also seemed to have recognized that they were being lured in.
