Davis's sapphire eyes reflected the item.

It was a spindle made up of strange wood. He couldn't even tell if it was wood. Its length was as long as one's palm. However, it was broken and empty. It didn't have any threads wound over it, yet it gave him a peculiar sensation of familiarity.

"Is this…?" Davis asked within his soul essence.

At that moment, everyone in the crowd was full of anticipation for the last item of the day. It was the main attraction, making them wonder just what it could be, but to see a broken spindle placed on the slab, they were momentarily taken aback, feeling disappointment before turning puzzled.

What could be so special about this broken spindle?

They all looked at the auction host, wondering when he would explain as he dragged out the silence.

If he had been any weaker, they would've cursed him by the time three seconds had passed.
