Davis heard Fallen Heaven's mocking voice before he shook his head at Fairy Thunderblaze.
"Believe what you will."
He said, but his brows suddenly squinted. If Fairy Thunderblaze was afraid, shouldn't she have sent only an avatar? Why did she come before him with her true body? Was she worried about him?
He stared at her for a few seconds amidst the silence, "It's one thing that you didn't rob me or harm me, but for you to warn that serpent not to harm me, what's in it for you?"
Fairy Thunderblaze's eyes narrowed, "Did you forget about our deal? You're taking your sweet time while I'm waiting for us to go to the Shard Continent. If you die, my investment will go down the drain."

Davis's lips pursed, "My apologies for making you wait for some more time."
Fairy Thunderblaze's brows twitched as she felt that he was unapologetic as ever. Was it her imagination, or was she the only woman to be brushed off like this by him?
