Raion quickly wakes up in a sweat and yells, "Fourth, watch out behind you!"
Baskia then begins to awake from his deep sleep. "Raion, will you shut the fuck up? I'm trying to sleep here, and so is everyone else on this island. You'll wake up the whole place with your big mouth."
"But, I just saw Fourth, hes trapped; it was too dark for me to see. It was all a blur, it happened so fast. All I could make out was this weird fish-like creature was coming towards him."
"It was just a dream, you're still in shock at what happened." Baskia throws the blanket off of him, and gets up from the bed. "Quickly, get ready. We cant waste anymore time."
Slipping his arms through his shirt and then tossing on the cloak Fourth had gotten him. "It felt so real though, like I could touch him."
Silence falls through the small dim light room, as Baskia contemplates for a second if he should engage in Raion's dream. When suddenly theres a clash of noise. Raion slowly looks up from the ground at Baskia, who is staring dumfoundedly at him.
"Sorry, I had dropped something underneath the bed, and I hit my head trying to grab it."
Baskia pulls Raion up from the ground, yanking him to his side. Then gets down on his knees, reaching under the bed to grab what Raion had dropped. WIth one hand out form under the bed and the rest of him still stuck under thewre; he hands Raion the item.
"Was this it?"
"Uh yes it was thank you." Raion takes the item from baskia, shoving it into his pocket.
Crawling back out from under the bed, Baskia gives Raion a perplexed expression.
"Its something from my childhood, if you were wondering what the item was. I've had it with me for as long as I can remember. There's something special about it, but I cant figure out what yet. "
That looks like, it could be from that place. I have seen ones like that, but this one does appear different.
"So... what about my dream? I'm telling you Baskia. It was as if I was there in the room with him, my spirit or my soul...I'm not really sure."
"Let's just head down and meet them now. We will discuss this more later. Now come."
Putting on their shoes, Baskia goes to turn off the light, beginning to shut the door behind them.
"Wait!" Raion runs back into the room, towards the back of the room was a table; with a small lit candle. Raion takes his fingers and touches the wick putting out the candle.
Holding the door open for Raion, Baskia asks, "When did you light that?"
"Sometime in middle of the night, I woke up and I couldn't sleep. I remember smelling something when we first entered in the room. The smell of vanilla and cinnamon, with a that slight musky odor. It reminded me of home, reminded me of Fourth. Thats when I saw the candle, and well thats how it went."
"I see, well lets go down now. "
Raion and Baskia walked out of their rooms and towards the main hall, where they saw Theo, who was talking to another younger man.
Theo and the other guy were whispering to one another, and looking around the hall, to make sure no one was listening.
"They were sailing and a storm hit them and they're friend got dragged into the water."
"They're talking about Fourth!" Said Raion eagerly.
Baskia grabs Raion and pulls him back behind him. "Shh, I'm trying to listen."
The younger man raises his eyebrow. "Grabbed in by what?"
"That's what we don't know. I mean it couldnt be could it, he cant be back. he told us he was done. " Says Theo
"It's the same thing as before. Isn't it?"
"We don't know that. It could be different."
The young man leans up against the wall, covering his face with his hands, he lets out a huge sigh. "It isn't, he's back and he wants more."
"He agreed to not come back." Theo sternly says to the young man, removing his hands from his face. The young man squints his eyes at Theo. "Do we know this for a fact?"
Right before Theo could say another word to the young man there is loud noise. Raion had tried to get closer to hear what Theo and this mysterious individual were saying about Fourth. And ends up knocking down a lamp, the glass shattering across the floor.
The young man quickly gets up from the wall, turning towards where the noise came from. "What was that noise?"
Baskia kicks Raion, who falls foward, exposing himself to Theo and the young man. An awkward smile forms on Raion's face, as he sits on the ground.
Veter stares in disbelief at Raion. He starts to speak, but something tells him otherwise.
How is it that Theo is okay with this!? Does the whole island know he's a shadow?! Or is there something more to this? I must find out. As Veter is asking himself all these unknown questions, Behind the wall Baskia is giving Raion a scornfully look. "It is just I and Raion." Baskia peaks out from behind the corner, waving his hand. Baskia then instantly begins working his way to smooth over the mistake Raion had made.
Theo: "Ahh, Raion, Baskia, I was waiting for you." Theo sees Raion looking suspiciously at Veter. He turns his head slightly towards Veter and nods for him to come forth. "Baskia and Raion, let me introduce you to Veter."
Veter: "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance," and holds out his hand. Baskia hesitates for a moment before taking hold of Veter's hand. What is his deal?
Baskia: "It's nice to meet you, Veter," He firmly shakes Veter's hand
Veter looks down at Raion, makes direct eye contact with him, and smirks.
Raion timidly looks at Veter, scanning the interaction between Veter and Baskia. This guy seems different from the others on this island. Just can't figure out why.
Veter then extends his hand out to Raion. Veter: "You must be Raion?"
Raion: "Ahh yeah, that's um me"
Baskia whispers to Raion. "Are you nervous right now?" and begins to giggle.
Raion glares at Baskia and breaks eye contact with Veter.
Veter: "Did I say something to offend you?"
Raion: "Oh no, um, I was just ah.."
Theo: "We should get going to the dining hall, breakfast is prepared. Follow me this way."
Theo and Veter walk up ahead of Raion and Baskia.
Raion "Who do you think that Veter guy is? I got the feeling he's not from here. Like he's only here on special occasions."
Baskia "Like the odd disappearance of Fourth." Baskia mumbles to himself. "They mentioned this happening before. Could they mean Theo's friend?"
Baskia "Let's just go, we might get some information out of them during breakfast, let me do the talking though."
Raion knew what Baskia was getting at at this point. He knew all too well.
Veter "Raion, may I have a word? Alone."
Raion looks over at Baskia.
Baskia, "It's fine, Raion, you can go."
Raion "Um, sure."
Veter "This way."
Raion follows Veter down the hall and into the next room.
Raion, "What is this about? I'm starving, haha, could we make it quick?"
Veter: "I know what you are."
Raion's eyes widen with a sense of clarity and shock. "How could he have known I thought Baskia made sure the island didn't find out!"
Veter: "You're a shadow. What I don't know is why and how you've managed to stay like this for longer than ten minutes."
Raion: "I ahh it was an accident, I don't know how or why."
Veter: "How is it that no one here realizes what you actually are. It's like they're under a spell."
Raion: "I can't say. It's a secret, please do make me say!"
Veter: "Just tell me. Are you going to get this fixed?"
Raion: "Fourth, Baskia and I are heading to all sights. Fourth said she'd be able to help. Before... everything happened with him."
Veter: "I see."
Raion: "You won't tell anyone, will you?! That you know!"
Veter: "I won't. But.. will you let me come?"
Raion: "Come? To all sight?"
Veter: "Yes, please."
Raion: "What do you need to see her for?"
Veter: "I would mind if I kept that between me."
Raion: " I'm sorry for asking. We all have our secrets. I may not know much about what is happening here with Fourth, Myself, or even you. But I know well enough when a situation calls for trust."
Veter: "Thank you. We should go before they worry."
Raion: "Yeah.
