"Ah, it was a bit of a wake-up call that I was not really looking into what system I was donating to," I told my wonderful daughter. I thought back to that moment when the young woman called me out for going to a well-off public school to donate funds.
Could Schools use more money?
Yes, most definitely yes, in fact, I still donated to that school and helped prop up a new academic section in their school, but it was not where I spent most of that money in the future, and I did not set up a trust like I did with the other schools that I donated to in the future.
"Oh, what did you do instead?" Victoria asked, curious.
"I set up a trust for ten impoverished schools for three things. First, for textbooks and technology to support teachers and students at their lowest point. As long as the funds are well spent and saved, it should never run out of money in the near future. It is a Trust, though, and so it should not be an issue in the future. The trust is set up so that only the profits are paid out, and only ninety percent of the profits, too. So it should only grow in the future, but," I shrugged, "Bad things can still happen, I rarely check on it though, I should look into it," I added as I thought about the current fraud that I was looking into in my own companies.
"I look into it once in a while, Daddy," Gloria said with a small smile. "It has not been very long, so it is completely fine. The Schools are more popular than ever," she added.
"Yeah, after looking into it, though, I realized I only put a drop into a massive bucket of needed funding for schooling," I sighed, thinking about how my donations really were just like pissing on a forest fire that was the education system. I really should not even need to donate to the schools for them to function properly, but-
"Well, that might have been how we first technically met, but it was not long after that," Gloria began taking over the conversation.

I left the school knowing that the principal would be a problem. I hoped I hadn't just burned that school as a potential sales area. I still had customers there, and it was a nice, nearby place that was a gold mine for cash. They were just the right amount of stupid and rich to make my wallet fatten up. I could easily sell to them, and because I was a kid, I looked like a little sister or brother to the students. To make things even better, they didn't have a uniform like those of some private schools.
Then again, those private schools had much better security, and it would be a pain in the ass just to get in.
I shook my head and made my way through the city without a word. When I got home, the foster house I was in this time was another shit hole. I would not be surprised if I were kicked out within the week. The woman in charge of this house locked the cabinets and the fridge. I made sure to clean up for her, just as all the others expected.
The Foster system in this country, after being past the age of four, was more or less a place to send out temporary workers. I heard stories about foster parents being good to the kids they take in, but those were a myth as far as I was concerned. Every time I was kicked out of a house, they would send me to a new house that was a mess or had at least another three or four kids. They would lock up the cabinets and the fridge, and they would give us the least amount of food possible. They wanted to cash in on the government check or use us as temporary workers to clean their house.
This woman was the best one I had yet. I had only been beaten twice for not cleaning on her timeline, and once I learned that timeline, I never let it happen again. My ass hurt for weeks afterward, but she at least gave decent meals, even if they were barely meals for animals. I would then clean the house, which she somehow messed up every day, to the point that it needed someone to stay on top of it.
The other kids here had been rotated out twice already, and there were three other foster kids who moved through here.
I quickly dismissed them in my head because I had more or less done my chores and used this as a place to sleep and do homework. I was behind on my coursework, and I would have to go to school for a couple of days before they started to call CPS or something. I was smart enough to get through my classes quickly and easily.
And so after meeting Daddy for the first time, I never knew how it would change my life. I lived in that house and sold drugs on the side for the rest of that week. I sold all but the final ounce during that short time.
It let me feel confident to leave my stuff at home and go to school normally on the Monday after a full weekend of selling and catching up on homework.
So on that Monday, I went to school and found myself in a classroom when it happened.
"Miss Gloria Smith, please come to the office. Miss Gloria Smith, please come to the office," The PA system sounded throughout the school, and I groaned. I got up, and the teacher nodded to me.
"Come back as quickly as possible," The Teacher told me, and I nodded, heading towards the principal's office. It was a bit of a walk, and I looked at the broken lockers and graffiti everywhere. As I looked around, I thought about the richer school, only to shake my head.
My mind was thinking about how much this school could use that rich guy's money over that other school. My mind quickly turned gears, wondering if I was about to get in trouble for skipping so much school or something, as I reached the office. I did not shit where I ate, so I did not deal drugs at this school at this time. If I were transferred somewhere else, I would, and it wouldn't be that hard, but at this time, I wouldn't. I did not even have drugs on me, so I walked with confidence into the office visit that would change my life forever.
When I stepped into that Office, I felt the urge to flee as I saw the Rich person that I had yelled at just last week and had been thinking about just moments before. I felt the fear of what a wealthy person could do with their vast resources, and my face went pale. He was standing there, smirking and looking at me in a way I had no understanding of what was to come.
It was the person that I would later call Daddy, and he sent shivers of fear through me.
How did he find me?
