As he walked, Angel shared some of his conjectures with the Black Earl. The Black Earl agreed, given that this place is so close to the deep magical energy array of the Underground Labyrinth, the original intent of the builders was definitely not simple.
This underground building must contain secrets, but it's unknown if they still remain or if they've been decayed by time.

The platform wasn't large, only about ten meters in length and width. In the center of the floor at the front, there was a depression. Judging by its shape, it seemed that there once was a platform with a slender column here.
This is also very much a church-like decoration.
The church's platform, usually called a "lectern," would have religious texts blessed by a Deity placed on top. The preacher would leaf through the texts while explaining doctrines to the believers.
