My blade reached its face, in front of the large eye of Itornas.
The greatest mistake it had ever made was to use the water sphere. If it had used the direct attack, I might still have been fighting it.
The sphere had kept both of us in the same place. It was also less alert about me, thinking in the sphere, I couldn't do anything to him.
It had made things much easier.
If we had fought with our blades, I would not only have had to keep thinking about my survival, but I would also have been more alert.
Things were not that easy in the sphere. My defences had reached the limit, but I had an easier time than I would have fighting blade to blade.
By the time it realized the sphere was not doing anything and deactivated it, it had already fallen into my trap.
