The plant came out.
It is bigger now and more powerful than the last time I brought it out to deal with the host.
Seeing how it had helped me last time. I had developed a mechanism to control it. It's a plant, not a monster, I could take, but a few things could be done.
I was about to activate this mechanism when it moved toward the mist on its own.
If it had been a monster, it wouldn't have done that. Their instincts would have screamed at them, but it's a plant and it doesn't have instincts.
It only saw the food source, and it leaped toward it.
"What the hell is that?" Haklin asked as the plan breached the bloody mist. "Something that will eat you," I replied, without missing a beat.
"Do you think it's that easy?" he asked with a laugh. There is not even a hint of fear in his voice. He does not think the plant is something that he should fear.
"It might be powerful, but in front of me, it's nothing," it stated, and I could feel the core acting.
