"Have you taken something half a year ago and then tried to make a breakthrough?" I asked, and immediately a surprise appeared on her face.
Her cheeks reddened, and she looked down.
"I had brought a concoction from the travelling alchemist. He said, " It will give me the boost I need for my breakthrough," she replied softly.
I wanted to sigh, but I did not; I could understand why she did that.
She is a woman in her middle age and still at Early-Primary-I. Most people at her age reach the mid-level, but she did not, and it left her desperate.
They are ordinary people, but that doesn't mean they don't want to advance.
They, too, have dreams and ambitions and make foolish decisions, just like everyone else. Including me, who had made hundreds of foolish decisions that had nearly killed me numerous times, that I can't even remember.
"It was the single worst decision of my life," she added softly, and tears started to stream down her face.
