A flight of light crows exploded in front of the second-in-command, blinding him, while several earth crows dove into the ground beneath him. A rock spike erupted behind him, impaling the assassin when he triggered his flight spell and bolted into Vastor's spell at breakneck speed.
"That was the last one I don't need." Vastor panted, bleeding from several cuts all over his body. "It's over. You're safe now."
The Master cast a Life Sensing array and detected several powerful life forces approaching in one of the Queen's Corps standard formations.
"Are you sure?" Ryssa asked, not daring to move from her spot.
"Check your amulet." Vastor bolted to the paralyzed assassin just in time to save him from the poison pill he had just swallowed. "Not so fast, boy. You are going to die only when you've outlived your usefulness and on my terms."
