Chapter 17 - " What Are You Planning ? "

✦ EIRA POV ✦

I was walking toward my class, lost in thought.

I don't understand. How can I reveal Peter's real identity to Tessy? What should I do? Oh God, help me. Please… show me the way.

My thoughts broke as I bumped into someone. I was about to fall, but a strong hand slid under my waist and steadied me before I could hit the ground.

I looked up—and of course. Why! Why does it always have to be him? Yes, you guessed it right. None other than Arrogant Blake.

"Will you ever learn to walk?"

"Wait a minute. Don't tell me you love falling into my arms?" he asked with that annoying, amused smirk.

Really? This guy is a complete psycho. I rolled my eyes and walked straight past him toward class, ignoring his nonsense.

Later, I was helping Tessy backstage while Adrain and Victoria practiced their play for English class. Tessy looked distressed.

"What happened?" I asked, worried.

"Peter is hosting a party in a club with his friends. So, he won't be meeting me today."

"Don't worry, it's only for today," I reassured her.

The bell rang and we started walking down the hall toward the canteen. But then it hit me—if Peter was going to the club, he'd surely bring his girlfriend there. This was my chance. I could finally rip his mask off in front of Tessy.

"Which club is he going to?" I asked carefully.

"It's Melody Club."

"What about we go there and surprise him?" I said, trying to sound excited.

"Eira, I can't. My brother is going to a party tonight, and we can't go to the club alone."

I just nodded, but inside I was already determined. I have to go. I have to bring back proof for Tessy.

I was lost in thought when I spotted Andy walking in the hall. By the time I rushed to her, Tessy was already talking to another girl.

"How are you? Where were you? Are you okay?" I blurted out.

"One question at a time!" she laughed. "I'm fine. I got abducted."

"What? Who kidnapped you?"

"I don't remember anything."

"What's your name?"

"Eira."

"Do you know where Melody Club is?"

She gave me a sharp look. "Don't tell me you're going there. It's not safe."

"Of course not! Why would I go there? I just asked out of curiosity," I said quickly.

She raised an eyebrow but only nodded before walking toward the principal's office. "Catch you later. Bye!"

I clenched my fists. I need to go there for Tessy. I can't let her marry that jerk.

I was still thinking when suddenly someone grabbed my arm and yanked me into an empty classroom. My back slammed lightly against the wall. I looked up—Adrain. His expression was unreadable, blank, yet suffocating.

What is his problem now? What did I even do this time? He's such a headache.

I tried to turn away, but he braced one hand against the wall, leaning in close, caging me in.

"Why are you asking about Melody Club?" His voice was low, sharp.

My eyes widened. "How do you even know about that?"

"Are you stalking me?" I asked, half confused, half annoyed.

He tilted his head with that infuriating smirk. "You want me to stalk you? Sorry, but you're not my type."

I glared at him, trying to push past his arm, but he didn't budge.

"Why don't you answer my question?" he pressed.

"Because you never answer mine."

"I won't let you leave until you answer me." His eyes hardened, his voice firm.

Why is he so stubborn??

"I've never been to a club before. I just thought I should go," I lied with a nervous laugh.

Don't catch my lie. Please, God, don't let him catch me.

But then he leaned in even closer, his eyes boring into mine.

"What are you planning?" he asked softly, dangerously.

Shit. He caught me.

Before he could press further, the bell rang and a boy opened the door, too focused on his book to notice us. Adrain straightened immediately and walked out without a word as students started flooding in.

I exhaled shakily. Thank God the bell rang at the perfect time.

Still… I need to go to that club. God, stay with me tonight.

Shit! I'm late for the next lecture—
