Chapter 183 - Meeting the Newton's - Part 4: Answers I

"JAMES! Apologize this instant to Mr. Kurama, for while he may be rude, greedy, and disrespectful to those older than him. At the end of the day, he holds the key to us getting our son back from whatever hell he may have stumbled into. So, I will say it once again, apologize, James Emmanuel Newton," shouted Mrs. Newton as she suddenly stood up.

Causing the chair behind her to fall to the ground as she glared at her husband with unmasked anger and disappointment at his conduct in her eyes.

"B... B-BUT HONEY, DON'T YOU SEE THE WAY HE'S~"

Slap.

"James, don't you dare raise your voice at me again and try to act as if you haven't been acting like a kid since we've arrived," Sabrina said coldly as her husband looked at her with disbelief, while holding his face in pain as a bright red handprint was plastered on it.

That inflicted more pain than an enemy attack received on the battlefield, as it highlighted just how upset his wife was with him. Even though internally, he still felt like he wasn't in the wrong.

"…Well then, I'll be outside if you need me; also, I offer my sincerest apologies for my earlier disrespect and lack of insight, Mr. Kurama. After failing to recognize your true greatness and majesty until now, so if you must unleash your anger for my negligence, please do so... however, keep my wife out of this and grant her the peace she longs for."

James said as he fell to his knees and bowed, before getting back up and leaving the room to wait outside for Rin and his wife to finish their conversation.

"Don't worry about it, Mr. Newton, just make sure that in the future this won't happen again. Additionally, would you be so kind as to get everything on this list in the meantime?" Rin said as he stopped James and handed him a list he retrieved from his multi-K, which contained the names of the items and materials he would need for tonight.

When he opened the first of seven celestial stars, with the rest being opened at a later date. Since Rin had to prepare for his fight tomorrow with Zinc.

"Thank you, and I'll have everything ready in no time," James replied as he took the list and skimmed through it, before disappearing in a patch of light as he went to retrieve the items.

While also giving a nod to his wife beforehand, who just smiled in return as he left.

'Thank you, James, for your cooperation… I assure you, your sacrifice won't be in vain.' Sabrina triumphantly smiled before swiftly concealing it and donning a mask of solemn composure.

"Now then, where were we?" Rin asked as he stared at Sabrina with intrigue and caution, as something felt off with this whole situation.

"Not sure, why don't you tell me, handsome?" She said with a mischievous smile as she inched closer to Rin.

"Well, then, I guess that's the end of our conversation, Mrs. Newton," Rin said as he stood up and moved away from Sabrina. "Oh, and do tell, your husband, when he returns, he can find in cell AX3, which is located on the 26th floor.

"Wait, wait, I was only joking, Mr. Kurama... please, don't leave so soon, cutie," Sabrina purred as she grabbed Rin's shirt and pulled him back before he could walk out.

"Sigh, Mrs. Newton, I don't take kindly to jokes or subversive flirting, so do behave and act appropriately for your age," Rin said as he stopped and turned around, only to be mesmerized by Sabrina's eyes, which resembled polished amethyst as they glowed with an intensity that outshone even the sun's radiance.

Yet, surprisingly, the true star of the show was Sabrina's expression as she gazed at Rin with puppy eyes dripping in lust while biting her lips seductively.

'Gotcha! Now, I just have to reel you in, and in no time, you'll be disclosing all the information I need to find my son. While simultaneously, wishing you never crossed the Newton Family, Rin Jasper Kurama.' Sabrina thought confidently as she subtly used the laws of Illusion, Love, and Magic to break through Rin's mental barriers and briefly alter his perception of reality and time.

So that it be easier for her to extract the information she needed without causing permanent damage to Rin's soul and mind.

Meanwhile, as this went on...

'Hmm, just what did this kid get into now?' Pharaoh wondered as he awoke from his meditation and sensed a foreign presence trying to sneak into Rin's mental space.

"Tsk, just why must this version of myself be so playful at times? But then again, I could use this time to view the world and stretch a bit," muttered Pharaoh with a smile, even though he was frustrated at the antics of this reincarnation of himself.

As he stood up and teleported to where he sensed the disturbance, while thinking of ways to use this moment to have fun without Rin knowing.

Poof.

"... interesting, so we have a manipulative mother, a compliant father, and a fool convinced he stands above the system. Sigh, truly, just what did I do to witness such a spectacle?" Pharaoh muttered with a chuckle as he reviewed Rin's memories to get an understanding of the mess he got himself involved in, while keeping an eye on Sabrina's movements.
