James didn't hesitate to attack Ian after Thorn told him that Ian is more worthy to receive his power. James was enraged by his envy towards Ian.
"James! What are you doing?! What's wrong with you?!" Ian asked James while dodging his attacks. James doesn't respond as if someone is controlling or manipulating him.
Queen Archandia and Samantha wanted to help Ian but he asked them to stay away of James, he doesn't want to hurt James and the others. "I'll stop him no matter what. I need to find a way to bring him back to his senses." Ian said while dodging. "What did you do to him, Thorn?!" Ian asked Thorn.
"I casted my spell, which can draw out his emotions. That will be his ultimate test. He can get my power if he surpass the challenge of the Nature's Trap Spell. It seems that he is still envious towards you Ian. You can't do anything but accept his attacks as he can't get rid of my spell that easily. It will be his toughest challenge to conquer." Thorn answered.
"Damn it! This will be hard! I think we can knock some sense into him Eros?" Ian asked Eros.
"Maybe it's time to fight your soul master, he will not stop attacking if Nature's Trap is still active." Eros replied.
"Hmmm... Nature Trap Spell is a spell used to draw out negative emotions especially anger and envy. It depends on the target's emotions. Thorn is considered to be the Top 4 strongest Titan because of this spell. It will drain the target's energy and corrupt his/her mind by manipulating emotions. The link to Soul attunement is derived from Nature so to counter the Nature's Trap Spell, James must unleash the Divine Soul Spell. That's the only way he's got to get out from the Nature's Trap. His anger is directed towards you Ian because he is still envious. Thorn is the strongest being to use Nature's Trap so he can always draw out even the smallest emotion his target feels. This will test James if he is truly the Master of the Titans." Vyrella explained the Nature's Trap Spell.
"Sounds easy to say but too difficult to do Vyrella. How can he cast the Divine Soul Spell?" Ian asked Vyrella.
"Only Soul attuned beings like Kratos and Draco know how to cast that Ian. I hope James could do that too." Vyrella answered.
James is still enraged and released three beast modes, Eagle, Sphinx, and Wolf, along with the Divine Break Mode with Pyroclast. Ian activated Ultima to keep dodging his attacks. "We will drain huge amount of energy if this continues master. We need to fight back!" Eros said. "Wait Eros, I'm thinking of a way to communicate to James mentally. Maybe we can communicate to Heat?" Ian suggested.
"We can master, but Heat is also manipulated by the Nature's Trap Spell. Apparently, James is draining out all of his energy now. If he lose consciousness, we've got no choice but beat Thorn on our own." Eros replied.
"That's it, I've got an idea Eros!" Ian said. Ian suddenly used the Holy Crane mode and rushed in towards Thorn and used the Erythroblast Ultima at a short distance right into Thorn but James blocked Ian's attack by using the Miracle Wind and he became stronger. "Unfortunately Ian, you can't touch me if I still have the power to control James. Do you have the courage to hurt your Soul essence? Hehe." Thorn said.
James hit Ian with the Solar Kick Magic Divine Break and Ian was plummeted far. Ian is weakened by that attack. "Are you considering of fighting back Master? We can't hit Thorn if James is on the way." Eros asked Ian.
"If this is the only way to bring James back, I'll fight back Eros. Be ready." Ian answered.
Ian activated the Solar Lust Curse, which can provide invulnerability to Solar spells. Eros then aided Ian his third out of ten shadow curse, which is the Shadow Sense. This curse turns the caster to full shadow mode where he acquired all the attributes of the shadow. This is to deflect the soul spells. Ian's eyes turned shimmering black and black aura coated his body. Thorn was amazed of Ian's mode and thought "he really have the capacity to beat Draco in that form. Kratos must get ready to face Ian. This will be an epic battle to watch."
James suddenly felt excruciating headache. He lied on the ground while agonising the pain. Thorn is starting to see that James can get out of his Nature's Trap Spell. He then strengthen the effectivity of the Nature's Trap Spell to continuously manipulate James and he is still successful.
Samantha, Himori, Queen Archandia, King Vladimir, and Bavery was amazed of the battle between Ian and James as Ian is still holding back and James is still all out. Finally, Ian hit James with the Umbra-Solar Rushed Punch Ultima and James can hardly get up. James became unconscious after the attack of Ian. Thorn was amazed of Ian's power. Ian glared towards Thorn. Thorn felt really intimidated by the stare of Ian.
"I am honored to see the strongest Shadow attuned being in front of my own eyes." Thorn said.
"Even if James failed to achieve your power. I am here to get it Thorn!" Ian said.
"Too bad Ian, you can't get my power either." Thorn said. "Why is that?" Ian asked.
"Because the Nature's Trap Spell is just used towards Soul attuned beings. Shadow attuned beings are invulnerable to that magic and only a soul attuned being can use power of the Nature." Thorn answered.
"So that means, we failed to get your power?"
Ian asked Thorn.
"Precisely yes, as James didn't overcome the Nature's Trap Spell. I'm sorry but we are wrong to consider you as Masters of the Titans." Thorn said.
Upon hearing the bad news, Ian dropped to his knees and he returned to his normal form looking down to the ground devastated.
