It has been two weeks since the paper bomb incident and the rumours related to it are exaggerating like Kumo was behind it who planned to detonate the bombs when they would have arrived for peace treaty four months later to weaken Konoha further, etc.
Needless to say the peace treaty got postponed for indefinite time since the designated date. The Raikage was reculant but the leaf argued that due to the paper bomb incident and related rumours distrust has taken root between both of the villages. So despite being reculant and probably to make sure that Leaf doesn't get suspicious that there is an alternative motive behind it, the Raikage agreed.
I was happy since the plan had gone according to my expectations and on top of that I got some more months to deal with Kumogakure and that bull-headed treacherous Fourth Raikage.
I haven't dropped the bomb of us getting a new apartment to Naruto. I wonder what will he think when tonight Old man Third Hokage comes to take us to our new home.
Its near the Sarutobi compound, probably due to Grandma Biwako, so she could visit us more and its very good compared to the apartment that Naruto got in the anime.
I have started learning basic fuinjutsu from the books I have found in the temple. Yesterday, I learnt the theory behind usage of storage scrolls and I will try to master it. Naruto have come beyond my expectations, he has mastered most of the jutsu I can use and his sensory ability has finally appeared, it's range is now good enough for an average Genin level shinobi after he finishes moulding his chakra. Apparently, he has completely ignored my suggestion and started using 100 shadow clones, though it gives him a nasty headache but he endures it quite well compared to me. How? I don't know. Probably it has something to do with him being a knucklehead and all haha...!, the maximum number I can use is 40...anymore and the headache is pretty nasty.
He is trying to catch up to me, though his progress in the theory department is slow and in others are either average or good with the exception of shadow clones and shadow shuriken shower jutsus whom he has learned completely.
We have totally mastered the wall and water walking excercise for chakra control and we continue to practice them making them harder and harder each times we practices them.
Since the day I used continuous Body Flicker Jutsu I kept careful observation on Naruto and I have noticed that he has a greater endurance and stamina than me. At first, I don't understand but later I developed a theory which is:
Him being the YANG Nine-Tails' jinchuriki which affects his physical energy the most making his body stronger and mental energy a little and on top of that being Ashura's reincarnation has also its own perks.
Whereas
I am the YIN Nine-Tails' jinchuriki which affects my mental energy the most making my brain stronger and physical energy a little but this is where my Uzumaki genes(I have red hair) compensate making my body stronger using the enormous chakra of the Nine-Tails that the Eight Trigrams Seals sucks from it but still I don't think its enough compared to my little bro. I guess he really is special.
So that's my theory.
For now I have asked him to continue to train in those jutsus and learn the theory department.
My chakra change in nature is now passable. I have masterd the sponge excercise two days ago and soon I am going to start the next exercise for it.
1)SPONGE exercise: In this exercise one has to suck the water out of the sponge without squeezing it (mind you when i said that i mean every last drop), using chakra alone through your hands.
Its the most difficult part of the exercise.
2)CLOTH exercise: In this exercise woolen cloth is used instead of sponge and we repeat the above process. Its very hard and most people leave it after they complete 90% of this exercise.
3)RIVER bending:Its the last stage to perform chakra change in nature for water release. In this exercise one has to bend the flow of river at will by dipping his/her hands in it and guiding it using the raw chakra.
When i talk about flow i am not referring to the flow of entire river. The area of effect can be small and depends on how strong is your chakra affinity towards water style.Its the last stage.
And my chakra change in shape is doing great I can pop the balloon even if it's barely but if I uses shadow clones like Naruto used in the anime it's another story altogether. But between chakra change in shape and chakra change in nature I like the chakra change in nature part, it's a lot easier compared to the other one.
But most surprisingly I have excelled in the genjutsu department and I can already use some basic ones to cause hallucinations to civilians and its effective. I haven't tried them on shinobi because the hallucinations are E-ranked Genjutsus. I can break them, sometimes it takes time but that's expected.
Naruto too can broke them but its a little hard for him but that's fine because hey! How many can say that their brother is already an average genin level shinobi.
Speaking of Naruto I am thinking of teaching him the shape manipulation from the next month onwards.
Till the age of seven we have to remain long ranged and mid ranged fighters because our body is still not suited for Taijutsu. And my Kenjutsu.
"Hey! Big bro!" Naruto called me.
"Yes bro! What is it?" I responded.
"I was wondering! Are you in some kind of trouble with Old man Hokage since you were called a lot by him these days?" said Naruto in a subdued tone.
"So that's what bothering you for the past four to five days! Huh!" I said upon which he nodded.
"Haha! Come sit beside me!" I said to him.
"Are you worried about me?" I asked him.
He nodded.
"Then why didn't you told me so?" I asked him.
He scratched his head embarassingly and said, "I thought you might get angry at me."
"I can never be angry at you! Naruto! You are my cute little brother, how can i?" I replied.
"And I'm not in trouble. I will tell you everything but first promise me that whenever something worry you again, you will tell me without any hesitation." I asked him.
He nodded again.
"No! No! Pinky promise?" I asked him again.
"Pinky promise!" he replied.
"Ok! Let's see where to start... You remember sometime ago you told me that if we had lots of money then we could buy a house and live happily and it would have been awesome..." I trailed off.
"You mean...?" he asked in surprise.
I nodded.
He was astonished, awed and then he tackled me with a hug (and he tackles very hard).
"You are great bro! hahahaha! Now I won't have to watch as you fight with those meanies because of me and use Gen..." I abruptly put a hand on his mouth and halted him from further talking.
I ordered him to pack up his luggage.
And he can't tell anybody where we are going. He whined a little bit but at last he agreed.
Then we visited the backyard of the orphanage to take out the storage scrolls( Found in dustbins old but usable, in which we stored our secrets) from our secret hiding place.We packed them too or you can say hid them. We were ready to leave the orphanage.
As expected old man Hokage arrived at 4:30 with Grandma Biwako, "Hello! Haruto! Naruto! Are you ready?"
"Yes! and I can't wait to see you know what! Old man!" Naruto replied to him overly enthusiastically. After doing the necessary paperwork, we left the orphanage.
THE APARTMENT
"Here are the keys to your apartment and I have personally selected the locks and had made the locksmith work right infront of my eyes. These are the only keys to your apartment as you have asked me, Haruto!" the Hokage said with a upset face.
The Third Hokage don't like how paranoid Haruto is regarding his and Naruto's security. He is a child yet instead of enjoying his days making friends and doing all childish things, he had turned into this paranoid person and it is all because he has failed to give them a better upbringing like he has promised to his successor, Minato. He couldn't help but wonder how will Minato react to it.
"But I shouldn't think like that, its not a bad thing because this particular aspect is what makes a good shinobi but to see this trait in somebody so young just shows me how l have failed you Minato! I am so sorry! I couldn't do anything. Even this apartment and their comfortable life ahead is something that came because of Haruto not because of me, the Hokage." Hiruzen thought with a depression.
"Thank You! Old man Hokage! Sorry for the trouble I made you to go through." I apologized to him.
"Its nothing Haruto! Its the least I can do for you and Naruto." he replied and resumed, "Now I will come tonight at 8:30 pm to take you three out for dinner to a special place to celebrate your new home, meanwhile Biwako will help you with everything else like shopping, teaching you basics of cooking, taking care of the apartment, sanitation, uses of electrical devices, etc"
"Don't worry! You can count on me, Saru! I will help them with everything." said grandma Biwako.
I nodded in understanding. He left the apartment using Body Flicker Jutsu.
The apartment wasn't luxurious but it was excellent. It has two rooms with attached bathrooms, a dinning hall, a kitchen, a store room, a balcony and a verandah in front of the main door. Overall it was upto my expectations as how I described it to him. Tomorrow grandma Biwako will take us to shopping for clothes and groceries and other essential things. Naruto was so much excited that he hasn't stopped running in the apartment. After settling down and thinking over it, we decided to use only the front bedroom and thus locked the other one. For the next two hours Biwako obasan described us how to operate and take care of our house and house appliances.
8:30 PM, APARTMENT..
Old man Hokage arrived on time and took us to Naruto's First love: The Ichiraku's Ramen. There, he introduced us to Old man Teuchi and her daughter Ayame. We greeted each other and ordered different kinds of Ramens.
I ate four bowls and Naruto ate five bowls of ramen respectively. What! It was really good compared to roasted meat, berries, fruits, rice, fish, vegetables, etc. Ichiraku's ramen easily bested them all.
During the entire time we are eating, Old man Hokage was gaping like a fish and grandma Biwako was gigling while saying I never expected anything less. Hearing this and upon closely inspecting both of them, understanding dawned upon old man Teuchi, he then inquired the Hokage, who promised to talk to them about this later.
After we finished our shares of ramen and saying our goodbyes, we left with grandma Biwako towards our apartment. Old man Hokage remained there to have the promised talk with Teuchi.
9:30 PM, APARTMENT..
"Hey, Big brother! We will go there to eat again! Right! I mean Teuchi jiji gave us a free bowl that's mean he doesn't hate us. So we will go there again!? Right?" asked an excited Naruto.
"Yes! Yes! Naruto, Now go to sleep...!" I ordered him. But he was very reculant to go to sleep and started bouncing on the bed saying its so comfy and all. So in exchange I started a pillow fight. After some more fun, Naruto agreed to go back to sleep.
THE NEXT DAY..
Next morning as agreed grandma came up and we did some shopping. I somehow convinced Naruto to buy less bright clothes but he was sulking on the entire way back. Later to cheer him up, I promised him one bowl of Ichiraku's ramen. Instantly, he lit up and once again became the happy go lucky child that he is.
So our life continued and we continued our training to master those skills completely. Currently my goals is to master the chakra change in nature for water release as quickly as possible and to increase my efficiency in shurikenjutsu. As for Naruto, he has to learn to mould chakra to increase his sesory abilities, foremost and his efficiency with shurikenjutsu.
