Roughly two minutes passed before he entered a small chamber its size no larger than a hut.

The walls, dim and colorless, seemed to trap the purple glow emanating from the chest at the center. It radiated a subtle energy the feeling of ghosts, again.

Skraal knew it wasn't a trap.

He could sense it. This was a reward.

He walked calmly to the chest and, with a mere thought, willed it open.

A pulse of ghost energy responded to his command.

The lid opened slowly, and inside, laying on an ornate dark cloth, was a ring.

Purple and black in color, simple in form,

Skraal picked it up, feeling the cold metal against his fingers.
