Usually, people would argue about why they needed to pay first. They had to do it because many customers refused to pay for the room after being told to pay later. The owner implemented a new rule that people who wanted a private room had to pay for it first.
The waiter led Bai Xifeng and others to the private room. The waiter gave them the menu for them to choose what to order.
"What do you want to eat?" Bai Xifeng asked Xie Ruolan.
"Just order me one dish." Xie Ruolan said.
"How about your maid and guard?" Bai Xifeng asked again.
Xie Ruolan was surprised when Bai Xifeng asked about the maid and the guard.
"What?" Bai Xifeng noticed the silence and looked up from the menu.
"You don't mind eating with the maid and the guard?" Xie Ruolan asked.
"Huh?" Bai Xifeng did not understand the question. "What do you mean by that? They don't want to eat?"
Then Bai Xifeng noticed that both the maid and the guard were still standing behind Xie Ruolan.
