Chapter 46 - All Hallows Eve in Kain

As Heathe was gathering himself up. He heard a call for breakfast by his mother. Gathering himself up and getting out of bed the memories was set aside and at which he noticed his armor vanished. He looked out the window. Of his bedroom. And noticed that it was sunset. Soon it'd be nightfall. And the world of Kain will be dark. A time for destruction and perverse merriment. But also a time for vigilantes to pounce. This day is truly one of terror. As the gangs are in force and in the dark midnight shadows, monsters.

Commissioner David looked at Bolkes corpse. It was a terrifying site. Bolkes face twisted in agony even while dead. David covers the tarp over it. And sighs. He takes one drag of his cigarette and looks to the heavens. And lo and behold. Something answers. Something otherworldly.

The gangsters meanwhile are in a status of terror and panic. Somethings causing the people to riot. Stirrings of some entity is what everyone knows. The politicians try and maintain order, law enforcement hide in there homes. The air itself charged with strange energy,a combination of madness, rage and terror. The sun doesn't even set in the afternoon rather a blood red solar eclipse is seen in the sky. Scenes of gristly carnage of dead bodies laying to rot populate the streets. Death is upon Kain and everyone knows it.

In the rooftops of the city-plane there lurks vampires capitalizing on the blood red moon. As they cannot come in the sun they must come from the dark. The reason why are obvious to you dear readers. But the sun seems to have a different effect on the vampires than just madness. It's almost as if the vampires have become more feral. And as the monsters look deep below the streets they see rather than just feel something almost familiar. Like deep in the sewers a being that they can relate to is in fetal hibernation. Gestating deep below ground. A being that is about to come out of metamorphic state.
