Merit is the merciful heart, a compassion for all beings; with such a heart, a Cultivator will not fall into demons, nor stray from the path.
It is akin to having a bright lamp, making the road ahead clear with no obstacles.
And Qi Fortune is like the cloud.
It is the cloud wandering in the sky.
When the cloud is blue, the sky is clear and bright; when the cloud is white, the sea is vast and the sky boundless; but when the cloud is black, dark clouds loom overhead and a storm is impending.
Qi Fortune resembles a cloud, bringing some uncertainty to the Cultivator's world.
So, what then is the Heavenly Mechanism?
Heavenly Mechanism is the Heavenly Mechanism, it is the Heavenly Dao, it is also opportunity.
In Zhou Yan's understanding, Heavenly Mechanism is the sky, it is tomorrow, the sky above the clouds.
Without Heavenly Mechanism, merit and Qi Fortune have nowhere to hide and nothing to rely on.
