The saber light flashed. A Carrion Iron-backed Hyena that had been about to feed was cleaved in half with a single stroke. Its corpse, as large as a small hill, crashed to the ground with a bang, making the earth tremble.
The commotion startled the hyena's prey—a Fire Phosphorus Demon Python. Its coiled body sprang forward, about to flee, but as another streak of saber light sliced through the air, it met the same fate as the Carrion Iron-backed Hyena.
