Chuzheng raised her brows, her gaze sweeping one by one over the places where they were touching, finally landing on Yin Bai's hand gripping hers.
Yin Bai happened to be holding her wrist, and there was a black ribbon tied around it.
The ribbon fit snugly against her wrist, and tied there it didn't feel like anything at all. It was covered by her sleeve, so when she touched it earlier she didn't feel anything different and just ignored it.
"Xiao Bai? Xiao Bai?"
Someone outside seemed to be calling Yin Bai.
"Mom." Yin Bai signaled Chuzheng not to make a sound, then answered toward the door.
Footsteps came from the bedroom side toward them, and then a slightly kindly voice sounded outside the bathroom: "Why aren't you in class yet?"
"It's the weekend today." Yin Bai said.
"Oh dear, look at my brain, remembered it wrong."
Yin Bai seemed used to this: "Didn't you say you wouldn't be back for another two days?"
