Sylvan Cheney took Jasmine Yale's hand: "Let's go home."
"But I haven't finished eating…" Jasmine held onto the cake in her hand.
"Eat it in the car."
"Mm." Jasmine had no choice but to bid farewell to Aunt May, "Aunt May, I'm heading home first. See you next time."
"Go on, go on, I won't keep you." Aunt May knew there was no stopping them anyway.
Before leaving, Jasmine grabbed the half-eaten orange off the table and stuffed it into Sylvan Cheney's hand.
"This half is for you."
Sylvan's brow arched slightly, his expression looking quite satisfied.
One tall figure and one shorter one walked side by side down the hospital hallway. Sylvan held Jasmine's hand with one while the other carried the medication and the orange.
Jasmine loved snuggling close to him, sticking tightly to his side as if afraid of losing him.
Today, the sunlight was exceptionally brilliant, bright and filled with cheerful hues.
