Sylvan Cheney accompanied Jesse Rowan for a meal, and the wine Jesse Rowan ordered arrived promptly.
Sylvan Cheney and Jesse Rowan didn't have much in common, and naturally the conversation drifted back to business.
Jesse Rowan swirled his wine glass, took a sip of his wine, and said, "Mr. Cheney, when do you have time? I'd like to invite you to play golf. I heard that you're pretty good at it."
"Not very interested. Mr. Rowan, you presumably have no shortage of friends in Landon, just pick a few of them."
"What interests you, Mr. Cheney? I'm just curious to see your skills."
"Work."
"..." Jesse Rowan rubbed his forehead, "Pretend I didn't ask."
"This lotus seed duck is pretty good, better than any I've had before." Jesse Rowan began to earnestly eat. He was quite skilled in the art of dining, drinking, and entertainment.
"The sauce is a secret recipe from the Cheney Family's exclusive chef, so it tastes different from what you find elsewhere," Sylvan Cheney said blandly.
