The afternoon meeting started at two o'clock and lasted for a full five hours.

Jesse Rowan had never been in such a lengthy meeting before. Though anxious and irritated, he had to patiently negotiate with Sylvan Cheney.

His brow was filled with anxiety, unlike the poise he had in the morning.

On the other hand, Sylvan Cheney was calm and composed, showing no signs of disappointment or sorrow, as if simply handling a straightforward transaction.

Charles Mcintosh felt heavier at heart than Sylvan Cheney, but he would never worry about Sylvan. He knew with Sylvan's capabilities, the new company would not be any worse than the Cheney Group.

Moreover, the Cheney family's history is filled with dark chapters; shedding the Cheney Group to start anew might be a blessing in disguise.

This move might just be called a strategic withdrawal.
