Hospital.
Not long after Jesse Rowan left, Joan Harry woke up.
She moved her arms; the fever had completely gone down, but her whole body felt weak.
The pain in her lower abdomen had improved a lot. It wasn't as severe, but still occasionally reminded her that a little life had disappeared here.
"Miss Harry, you're awake?" the servant came over, "Would you like something to eat?"
"I'm a bit hungry, get me a bowl of red bean porridge, something mild is fine." Joan Harry wasn't very picky.
"Alright, I'll go get it now."
She glanced out the window; the rain had stopped, but the wind was strong.
The strong wind was constantly blowing, making the branches rustle, and the window shook.
The ward was very warm, particularly quiet.
From finding out about the pregnancy yesterday to the loss of the child today, everything felt like a dream.
She casually turned on the TV, silently watching the finance channel.
She studied finance and was very interested in financial topics.
