Sylvan Cheney poured a glass of plain water and placed it on the bedside table.
Jasmine Yale looked at him, her eyes misty, with a lingering pain in her abdomen.
"Take another nap, if there's anything, call Kade, or call me... that's fine too." Sylvan coughed lightly.
"President, you should go back to your ward and rest too, your health hasn't improved yet, it's much more serious than mine." Jasmine smiled slightly, dimples appearing at the corners of her lips.
Sylvan frowned at her, he couldn't quite understand how she could manage to smile.
"Hmm." Sylvan turned away.
Jasmine's gaze remained on him, a faint but unusual feeling spread through her heart, like a spring breeze brushing across solid ice.
Kade walked over with medication, only then did Jasmine avert her gaze.
"Miss Yale, are you feeling better? This is the medicine prescribed by the doctor, to protect the fetus, should I feed it to you?" Kade asked, "Do you need to notify your aunt?"
Jasmine shook her head.
