Sylvan Cheney didn't speak any further.
Jasmine Yale hesitated for a while and still bargained, "President, I'm pregnant now and can't really stay up late. Can the time be more flexible?"
"You listened to my conversation with Mr. Dick quite a bit today. What's the matter, was it difficult? Or is it that your comprehension is lacking, and you're not up to the task?"
"No problem, I can handle it."
"Then no bargaining!"
"Oh."
The atmosphere inside the car quieted down.
Jasmine Yale looked at the roses in her hand, feeling troubled.
The car drove steadily on the wide road, surrounded by silence.
There was still a long stretch of road from the manor to the city, and this part of the journey was very peaceful.
