Chapter 1 - Paradise of its own.

Everyone has this feeling of longing for something. A relief of one's life. A need of comfort. A paradise of its own.

Our school is an example of a simple paradise. It has clean surroundings, comfortable classrooms that are conducive for learning and famous because of the school rooftop.

I don't know why this rooftop is so popular. Most of the students stay at the rooftop during break time and lunch time even teachers love to stay at it. Since most people love to stay at the rooftop the authorities of the school make sure to secure the place and make it more beautiful. The best thing about the place is its view, it seems like you are having a good vacation.

The school was build at the top of the mountain that is why if you are in the rooftop you will see the beauty of the mountains and as well as the whole town in Havana Province. The school is not too far away from the town so most of the students studied at the West Samantha Academy.

But on that one fine day... or so I thought. That was the beginning of all our nightmares.

"Vivian! Smile!" Georgie said. One beautiful picture was taken.

I am here at the rooftop with Georgie and Celly. We just finished our lunch so we enjoy taking a lot of pictures. It has been a month since I transferred here and Georgie and Celly are the only close friends that I have had.

Both of them know each other for a long time since they are bestfriends since childhood so I am just a thirdwheel of their friendship but still, they did not made me feel unwanted.

During lunchbreak we stayed at the rooftop, taking our lunch and doing some re-touches. Today, I have noticed that Celly is being quiet and it is unusual because she is talkative than Georgie.

"Celly are you okay?" I asked.

"Ah-h yes I'm fine" she replied.

"Hmm. Your eyes look so weary." Georgie added.

"Look at the view girls, it is beautiful. The beauty of the sorroundings when we are here at the rooftop always amaze me even if we come here almost everyday." Celly said. She changed the topic that quick but looking at her, it does not change the fact that she seems unwell.

"Really? Georgie replied and then rolled her eyes.

Celly did not continue the conversation because she knew Georgie was getting mad from not sharing what is wrong with her. Georgie know Celly for too long and she hates it when Celly is keeping something for herself without telling Georgie.

"Let's go back to the classroom" I said.

After class, Georgie was not satisfied without hearing the reason why Celly suddenly changed her mood and behaviour that day. We went at the back of the building of our school and ask Celly again what happened. Celly remained silent and did not utter any word. Suddenly...

"Honestly, I am tired." Celly said it in volume that was almost unheard while getting something from her pocket at the side of her skirt.

"Celly no! Stop it!" I loudly said it and then grab the cutter out of her hand as she was about to cut her wrist.

Celly cried and covered her face with her two palms.

"I'm tired!" while continuously crying. "S-sorry, I'm so tired from everything". she added.

Georgie hugged her tightly and comforted her.

After Celly stopped crying, we went to the rooftop to make her feel at ease and it is effective because Celly looked relieved. While at the rooftop, we just watch the perfect blend of bright orange and illuminated yellow sunset.

After a while, I ask their permission that I will go home first because my mom is already waiting at the gate. I lefr Georgie and Celly still enjoying and appreciating the view.

The next morning, I was shocked by the news. Everyone in the campus talks about it so I went directly to our classroom to find Georgie but she was not there. I asked my other classmates but they said she has not arrived yet so I asked our class mayor about what is happening.

Our class mayor told me that Celly was missing since yesterday.
