The enemy troops who marched into the trap were all killed, their corpses piled high. The soldiers of Emperor Mountain were cleaning up the bodies; those that couldn't be cremated were dealt with on the spot. There was no helping it—right now the enemy was still attacking.
Ling Muyao already knew the net had been drawn in successfully. The casualty reports were still being compiled and needed time before they could be delivered.
Ling Muyao drank his tea, looked at the map, and pondered his next move. For now it was about wiping out as many enemy troops as possible—kill one more, earn one more.
Two hours later, the casualty statistics were delivered.
Ling Muyao took them and glanced through. It was a thick stack; he only needed to look at the final page of totals.
"Our Human Clan losses are a bit heavy, but still within what we can bear," the guard said.
Ling Muyao of course understood. Facing so many enemy troops, taking heavier casualties was perfectly normal.
