A few minutes later, intense arguing between Yang Yunlin and Yang Qingyin could be heard from outside, but the argument soon died down.

About ten minutes later, Luo Ziling heard the sound of a door opening and closing outside, followed by a gentle knock on his room door.

"Where's your dad?" Luo Ziling looked outside but didn't see Yang Yunlin, so he asked naturally.
"He's gone," Yang Qingyin lowered her head, "He stormed off after an argument with me and said he won't care about me anymore."
"It's actually not bad that he didn't threaten to sever the father-daughter relationship," Luo Ziling chuckled bitterly, hugging Yang Qingyin, "Maybe your dad was moved by what I just said."
