Ethan Laurent quietly watched, his lips wanting to kiss, but before he could, Summer Ford, who had shown no reaction earlier, suddenly opened her eyes.
Ethan Laurent's movements were halted, his gaze fixed steadily on her face.
Summer Ford stared at him, seemingly not expecting to wake up to such a scene, her eyes somewhat bewildered.
With their eyes locked, she silently watched her reflection in his eyes, stunned for several seconds, awkwardly pushing him away and moving her body slightly to create some distance.
"Awake," Ethan Laurent's voice carried a lazy tone, with a hint of teasing.
"Mm." Summer Ford's gaze shifted elsewhere, her head turned slightly to one side, pretending he didn't exist, and continued to doze off with her eyes closed.
Her hair was tied loosely, and when her head turned to the side, the hair tie slipped gently from between the strands, letting her soft long hair fall casually over her shoulder.
