"Welcome back to our studio, I'm Jon Stewart bringing you The Daily Show." As the familiar music played, the camera panned up to the middle-aged man in a suit with a hint of roguishness.
"We just officially discussed President Bush's... disheartening speech and FOX News Channel's... brilliant interpretation, so let's change the topic now." His drawn-out voice accompanied by that iconic cheeky smile elicited quite a bit of laughter, "Remember who I said the guest was today? That's right, the great miracle-creating director, Adrian Cowell!"
He then raised his hand to his mouth, made a mysterious gesture to the audience, and said, "Of course, you know he's my boss, so... you get it, show some respect."
"Don't worry, Jon, I won't cut your salary." Just then, Adrian walked out from behind, confidently taking a seat in front of him.
"Really?" Stewart responded with a look of surprise.
"Of course," Adrian spread his hands, "but I'm considering whether to make changes to paid leave."
