"A glass of champagne," Natalie said to the bartender as she sat down, then looked at Rachel beside her, who was resting her face on her hand and fiddling with a glass with lemon and ice.
"Hi, Rachel," she greeted in a casual tone, "How does it feel to be the Best Supporting Actress?"
Rachel didn't respond immediately but continued fiddling with her drink for a while. Then she picked up the glass with her finger curled, took a sip of gin tonic, and turned her head with a faint smile: "You should be the one answering that, Natalie. How does it feel to be the Best Actress, especially being... the second youngest one?"
Her face was flushed, and a trace of elusive intoxication lingered between her brows. Although gin tonic is a drink palatable to women, it is still considered a strong liquor.
"Do you think it's normal?" Natalie didn't exchange pleasantries with her. Both were smart; they had been constrained by Adrian for a long time and didn't need to hide anything.
