From a distance, the exotic beast seemed to have just died not long ago, yet it was bound by several vines onto a branch of a giant tree, hanging there bloodily.
"Is it storing food? Was it done by people or other exotic beasts?" Observing such a bizarre phenomenon, Guding immediately stopped and watched from afar.
However, as he observed, he quickly noticed something unusual. The corpse seemed to be changing. The originally bleeding corpse seemed to have been drained in just a few breaths, transforming into a mummy.
Soon after, the vines released, the mummy fell to the ground, instantly shattered into powder, which was then absorbed by the tree roots, completely disappearing.
