Chapter 2 - Dawning

Dana

********************

See,after the dream I couldn't sleep. The dream kept on replaying on my mind like a video caught in cctv footage in those crime documentaries where a detective has to replay and pause the video because there is a crucial but hidden detail where you have to "read between the lines" in order to complete the puzzle. See, I live with both my mom and dad who dont exactly feel comfortable talking about my weird dreams...yes, you guessed right. This is not the first time I have these kind of dreams. They date back to when I was just 7 years old. Since its still too early for me to put on my running gear,I decided to go by the lush flower garden where I will exhale the coppery scent of blood that lingers in the back of my consiousness and inhale the intoxicating yet calming scent of roses and lillies. Nothing to soothe and calm my nerves like a combination of the untamed calmness of nature and the irresistible beauty of dawn...nature at its best. I know you'll also find it odd but I also cant explain my love for nature. Sitting there and listening to the soft sounds made by the leaves, i felt like they were trying to make me understand...like they were actually putting the pieces together in a low, hushed yet caressing manner...but they are flowers in the end and they can only say so much, so I decided to head back to my room to prepare for yet another long day in the library...yes I am a librarian and in this country.....you dont exactly call library work "exhausting"
