Tang Li nodded: "If there's nothing else, I'll go upstairs first."
Old Madam Lai naturally wouldn't ask her to stay.
After going upstairs, Tang Li didn't bother with Jiang Yiniing and returned to her room.
Tang Li took out her cellphone and noticed a voice message from Fu Si.
She hit play, Fu Si's clamorous voice came through: "That Lai Yuaner must be sick, and seriously at that! I've rejected her so clearly, yet she still dares to come to my house."
Speaking, his voice grew softer, his words somewhat muffled: "If it were you, I might have reluctantly agreed."
Tang Li had to listen to the last half of the sentence twice to make it out.
Not long after, Fu Si sent another voice message.
Thanks to Tang Li's help with tutoring earlier, Fu Si crammed at the last minute and managed to pass two subjects in the final exams, and so did his friends; though their grades weren't great, they hadn't completely bombed.
To show their gratitude, they planned to invite Tang Li for a meal.
