Immunosuppressant?
Lai Wenyan and Old Madam Lai exchanged a glance.
Even though they didn't fully understand, the doctor's expression told them this was not something good!
The first to panic was Old Madam Lai.
Lai Wenyan was her only son.

The doctor, pressed by the old lady, patiently explained: "An immunosuppressant is a drug that suppresses the body's immune response, inhibiting the proliferation and function of cells related to the immune response, thereby reducing the antibody immune reaction."
What the hell is this?!
Old Madam Lai still looked bewildered.
The doctor had to give an example: "For diseases like skin fungal infections and rheumatoid arthritis, we use immunosuppressants. Including membranous nephropathy."
When nephritis was mentioned, the doctor looked at Lai Wenyan again.
That look was too targeted.
Not only Lai Wenyan, but even Old Madam Lai understood.
Nephritis implies kidney problems.
