Chapter 23 - Is she dangerous?

"That good-for-nothing girl! I'll end her," Sammy growled.

She had stormed out of the premises and now sat inside her sleek black Ferrari. Cameron was beside her, her face still flushed red, eyes darting nervously toward Sammy, who was breathing heavily.

How could this happen?

According to her own investigation, Emma William was supposed to be an easy-going girl, quiet, submissive, the type that got bullied easily. Nothing but trash.

The only remotely admirable thing about her life were those two little siblings of hers. Emma took care of them like a mother, making sure they looked healthy and well-dressed despite her miserable finances. The photos Sammy had received of the twins didn't depict poverty at all, they looked like they belonged to a decent family.

That made Sammy furious. How dare someone from such a lowly background humiliate her like that?

A flicker of unease crossed her mind. What if Emma had managed to hook up with a rich man? What if she somehow keeps the role of female lead?

If that happened, people would start to mock her, Sammy Johnson, the golden goddess of the screen, replaced by some nobody. And worse, they'd question why Brian, her supposed on-screen partner, seemed so free and comfortable around Emma when he had never behaved that way with her.

The girl's beauty was dangerous. Too dangerous.

Sammy's thoughts churned like a storm. No, she wouldn't let this stand. If Emma William thought she could rise, she'd crush her before she even took her first breath in this industry.

Her expression darkened. "You know what to do," she said coldly to Cameron, nodding once toward her manager.

Then she turned to her driver. "Take me to Starlight Hotel."

Cameron immediately got to work, using her multiple online accounts. Her fingers flew over her phone screen as she began posting comments, using one account to feign sympathy for Sammy and another to spread rumors about Emma, all while avoiding using Emma's name directly, so as not to seem too obvious.

With their many secret accounts, Cameron and her manager Shaima leaked fabricated incidents and backed it up with other accounts which soon attracted real audiences.

Within minutes, fans began to flood the threads with their own outrage.

The post blew up on the popular social platform Fangram.

@Cute Puppy: Our Sammy was taken advantage of.

@SJ's Angel: Who dared to hurt our goddess?

@Hmm: People are always jealous of perfection. I hope Sammy's okay.

@SJ's Angel: If I ever find that person, I have three words: Die. Die. Die.

@Abby: @SJ's Angel That was savage, girl, but agreed. Sammy must be heartbroken. She and Brian are supposed to ace that anticipated movie.

And then came the lurkers, those who enjoyed the chaos but never took sides.

@Dramaqueen: I'm just here eating popcorn. Keep going, guys.

@Hmm: (eye-roll emoji)

@Samsam: Don't mind @Dramaqueen. Oh @CutePuppy, how did you find out about this? Maybe we can expose the b*h's identity?

Cameron smirked, feeling a rush of satisfaction. This was her cue.

Cute Puppy: Someone saw her coming out of Brian's hotel room the day our queen was replaced. Doesn't take a genius to know what happened.

And that was the spark.

All hell broke loose.

Fangram is populated with die hard fans of celebrities and people generally interested in the true goings in the entertainment industry. So obviously Brian's many fans would be there.

@Brian's Baby: Watch your mouth! How dare you say that about my Brian?!

@BrianIsTheKing: @CutePuppy, did you mean "Pluppy"? Because you must be missing a brain cell. Dogs are cute and have perfect working brains.

@Dramaqueen: Now this is entertainment! Anyone wanna send popcorn to my condo?

@Brian's Waifu: Don't you dare stain Brian's name. He doesn't need your queen. Whoever the new girl is, she's better than your fake goddess!

@AncientGod: Brian is still pure! That snake probably tried to seduce him

@Dramaqueen: Girl, who wouldn't want to seduce Brian? I'd do it too. Now, back to my chips, continue guys! I'm here for all the chaos!

The entire comment section erupted into chaos.

"Delete that, you idiot!" Sammy screamed suddenly, her fury snapping through the car like lightning.

Cameron froze, trembling. "I, I didn't know"

Before she could finish, Sammy's hand lashed out, a sharp slap echoing inside the car.

"Stop the car!" Sammy shrieked, overly irritated that her assistant made her plan fail before it wrapped around Emma Williams.

The Ferrari screeched to a halt.

"Get out before I kill you!" Sammy said in a menacing tone.

Cameron stumbled out, clutching her cheek, and the car sped away.

Her manager sighed deeply, voice tight with frustration. "She mentioned Brian's name. That's bad, Sammy. His fans will turn this against you."

Sammy's fingers clenched into fists. Her carefully built plan was crumbling.

If she released Emma's background now, the girl would only gain sympathy, not shame.

And Brian's obsessive fanbase would shield her, not Sammy.

"This isn't over," Sammy hissed, glaring out the tinted window as the city blurred past. "That little nobody doesn't know who she's messing with."

Just like that, the second opening plan of the day to ruin Emma Williams backfired spectacularly.

Sadly, Sammy will never find out she actually managed to kill Emma Williams, which trades her with a more difficult entity to deal with.

Olivia Smith isn't a pushover.

…..

Olivia finally left the building, feeling satisfied after her photo shoot.

Charlotte had texted that she had something urgent to attend to and would drop by later that night.

Olivia's lips curved slightly. She wasn't naïve, she knew Sammy wouldn't take this quietly. She had dealt with far worse in her own world.

Knowing it was time to start making use of the system that lives in her head, she adjusted her mindset, ready for a plan.

With a serious expression, she whispered, "Bunny, tell me about Sammy Johnson."

"It's Darling," came the voice in her head.

"I'm serious right now," Olivia snapped lightly. "Stop with the pet names. I can't call you that."

"What would you like to know?"

"Is Sammy Johnson dangerous?"

"Very dangerous," Darling replied calmly, then added. "You realised she killed Emma Williams right?.

Olivia mentally grimaced. "Of course, that bitch poisoned that Emma girl. She's dangerous and daring."

Darling affirmed with a hum.

"What's her hobby?" Olivia asked curiously, trying to understand who she's dealing with personally.

Darling hesitated. "Sex."

Olivia froze. "What? You mean sex like… as in sexual intercourse?"

"Yeah. The subject in question has a very high libido and….." Darling was about to explain in detail when Olivia made a retching sound.

"Please… for God sake. Spare me the details… yuck. What sort of hobby is that? Is she an actress or a prostitute?"

Darling could tell that Olivia wasn't interested in an answer to that question and remained silent.
