Chapter 28 - Chapter 27 Lia and Mio first encounter

The Phillian Family is famous for its law firm and has never lost a trial before. Ken is a lawyer who works in the family company and is set to become the successor of the family business.

In addition to their law firm, the Phillian Family also owns real estate. While their primary focus is law, they run several other businesses. One of their most prominent companies is Floria Media, the most popular media company in the Sunny Country.

Floria Media is well-known for catapulting celebrities into fame; anyone who appears in their news becomes popular, even if they just debuted. In both the media and legal worlds, the Phillian Family is a household name.

Ken also serves as the personal lawyer for Jean Entertainment. He fell in love with Lia when he was in junior high school. Ken loves everything about her. He feels his life has become more colorful since falling in love with Lia, even though she used to love Claude. That fact has never diminished Ken's feelings for her.

Ken Phillian is the only son in the Phillian Family and has a younger sister who is an online webtoonist. Unlike the rest of the family, she has no interest in law and instead pursues a career in webtoons.

Her name is Yuuka Phillian. Yuuka has always been different from other family members. At just 15 years old, she already works as a professional webtoonist.

Yuuka is a devoted fan of Mio Lockheart. She adores Mio's songs and often uses them as the soundtrack for her webtoons. Yuuka is very close to Mio, though no one except Lia Sheren knows about this.

Yuuka is shy and afraid of strangers. It's difficult to get close to her—even her own family took time to connect with her.

She experiences anxiety in crowded places, which makes her work as a webtoonist challenging since she occasionally needs to meet with editors and staff. Her editor, however, is understanding and gentle, having been informed by the Phillian Family about her condition.

Thanks to her kind editor, Yuuka gradually opened her heart. Over time, she became the most popular webtoonist in their company, recognized for her unique drawing style.

Mio Lockheart is different from anyone Yuuka has ever met. Yuuka never cared for music because she never felt anything while listening. But Mio's songs changed that.

Mio's music stirs emotions in Yuuka—joy, sadness, depression—feelings she never experienced before.

Yuuka isn't just shy and anxious; her emotions shift quickly. One moment she's happy, the next she's deeply sad.

She once considered suicide during a particularly depressive episode. But everything changed when she heard one of Mio's songs. At that time, Mio wasn't even a famous singer, and Yuuka heard her music through Lia's phone.

Yuuka had never heard such a soulful voice. She could feel the colors and emotions Mio conveyed, as if the song was speaking directly to her.

That song gave Yuuka the will to keep living, no matter how hard life was. She felt healed through Mio's music and became her devoted fan.

Yuuka asked Lia to introduce her to Mio, and Lia gladly did. Since then, Mio has composed songs for Yuuka's webtoon, and their relationship has been harmonious—like real siblings.

To outsiders, Yuuka, Lia, and Mio appear as real siblings. No one would guess otherwise because of how close they are.

Lia is always by Yuuka's side whenever they meet with Mio. Yuuka already considered Lia as family, even before Lia got engaged to Ken. She was overjoyed to learn that Lia would become her sister-in-law.

Ken, too, was happy that his beloved younger sister became close with his future wife. As a protective older brother, he was pleased that Yuuka could open her heart to Lia.

Ken always believed his judgment of Lia was right. She is the kindest, gentlest, and most humble woman he has ever met. But she is not soft-hearted when it comes to bad people—especially Claude Lockheart.

Rey and Lia are the children of the Sheren Family, which specializes in fashion, beauty, and snacks. The Sherens also own a mall with many branches across Sunny Country. Lia is a renowned designer in the fashion industry, and her designs always sell out.

Rey is the only son and heir of the Sheren Family. As CEO, he's more successful than his father and has brought in more profits and customers.

Their parents are proud of Rey, but they worry about his lack of interest in marriage. Rey shows no interest in women, and it causes them concern.

Lia once thought of matching her brother with Mio, but dropped the idea because Mio didn't love Rey. Lia also struggles with her brother's refusal to date anyone.

Lia and Mio are incredibly close. It's not uncommon for Mio to spend a day or two at Lia's house. Lia's parents adore Mio—who could dislike such a sweet girl?

They love how Lia and Mio look like twins, even though they don't share the same face. After all, not all twins look alike.

Lia has always struggled to find genuine friends. In high society, people often want friendships for status. She despises that.

But Mio is different from other privileged children. She is humble, gentle, and always wears a kind smile.

Lia initially distrusted Mio, thinking she had ulterior motives, especially after hearing rumors about her. Mio is not the biological daughter of the Lockheart family, and the eldest son of the Lockhearts despises her.

Mio has few friends and has been bullied by those around her. The rumors made Lia want to keep her distance.

That changed the day Lia was nearly kidnapped by traffickers. Mio witnessed the incident and, despite being afraid, stepped in to help.

Lia is skilled in self-defense, but a surprise attack from behind left her powerless. Thanks to Mio's intervention, Lia broke free, defeated the traffickers, and handed them over to the police.

Afterward, Mio collapsed in tears, overcome with emotion. Lia was stunned—Mio had been terrified, yet still chose to help her.

From that day on, they became best friends. Lia's parents were grateful to Mio for saving their daughter's life. Even with her fighting skills, Lia could have been helpless in that situation.

To Lia, Mio is now like a sister, and she would do anything to protect her. Lia may be kind, but she's not soft with everyone. Her tenderness is reserved for Mio and Yuuka.

Following the incident, Lia's parents assigned multiple bodyguards to her. She disliked being followed everywhere but couldn't oppose their decision.

Her parents were shaken upon hearing about the kidnapping. The traffickers were among the country's most dangerous—so elusive that even the police couldn't track them.

Had Mio not been there, no one could predict what might have happened to Lia. The possibilities were horrifying.
