Claude left the dining table with that usual slow, confident stride of his, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. Mio watched him slip on his suit jacket and fix his tie in front of the mirror near the entrance. He looked every bit like the CEO the world saw him as—composed, dominant, untouchable. Yet to her, he was still that ridiculous man who last night had begged for forgiveness while tied to the bedpost.

"Don't work too hard," Mio said softly, still sipping her coffee.

Claude glanced over his shoulder, a faint glimmer in his eyes. "That depends… will I get another punishment if I do?"

Mio rolled her eyes, though a small smile threatened to escape her lips. "You'll get a lecture, not a punishment."

He chuckled as he approached her, bending down to steal a quick kiss from her cheek. "A lecture from you sounds more dangerous."

"Then you'd better behave," she replied, giving his tie a slight tug to straighten it before pushing him away.
