Chapter 140 - Chapter 139 Breakfast Games and Barefaced Excuses

The scent of jasmine tea drifted through the suite long before Claude reappeared. Mio had finally managed to pull herself out of bed, wrap herself in a loose cardigan, and tie her hair into a messy half-bun. She padded toward the small dining area, still determined to keep her expression neutral — calm, cool, totally unbothered.

But of course, the moment she reached the table, the universe betrayed her.

Claude stood in the kitchen doorway holding a tray — and completely, unmistakably, shamelessly shirtless.

Again.

Mio inhaled sharply. "Claude."

"Yes, darling?" He said it so innocently she wanted to throw the tea at him.

"Where. Is. Your. Shirt."

Claude blinked, genuinely looking around as if the shirt might magically materialize out of thin air. "I have… no idea. It was here somewhere."

Mio stared. "You lost your shirt?"

"It's a very fast shirt," Claude replied gravely. "Very sneaky. Easily spooked."
