The shopping district was buzzing with weekend energy, but Claude Lockheart walked through it like a king who owned the entire block. One hand tucked casually in his pocket, the other wrapped around Mio's wrist to keep her from escaping like a startled kitten.
"We're only getting a few outfits," Mio mumbled, dragging her feet.
"A few," Claude repeated cheerfully. "In Lockheart language, that means… twenty."
Mio stumbled. "TWENTY?! Claude, I'm going on a TV show, not ascending a throne."
Claude opened the glass doors of Aster & Iris Boutique, one of the most luxurious fashion houses in the city. The entrance alone was intimidating—polished marble, crystal chandeliers, and mannequins dressed in couture that cost more than Mio's entire music equipment set.
The moment the staff recognized Claude, panic and excitement rippled through the boutique.
"Oh my—Mr. Lockheart!"
"Welcome!"
"It's an honor!"
Claude nodded politely. "Prepare the VIP dressing room for my wife."
Wife.
