It's been a week since my precious little brother was born. Yes, it was a boy! I cheered to myself silently as I have always dreamt of having a little brother that I could look after.
However, something has taken all of my attention lately, a mysterious glass looking screen. It's sky blue and outlined with shining gold edges. The corners look to be embedded with the most gorgeous gems I have ever seen. The text is a pure white that glows with an imposing light.
This mystical screen appeared when I said the word "status", it also disappears if I repeat the word.
The tests that I have done during the past week have shown me that I can whisper the words in my head and it will appear. The curious thing I have been asking myself is why? Why do I have this status screen? What is the purpose of it?
These questions have been frustrating me all week and so I am tempted to go see Professor Oak about this. But will this lead to me finding out that nobody else but I can see this mysterious screen?

Closing the status screen, I jumped off my soft bed and rushed down the stairs, the floorboards creaking as I descended. "Mum I'm going to Professor Oaks for a bit!" I shouted as I passed by her. She is currently rocking Ash to sleep so I'm not too worried about her.
Delia POV
After watching my oldest son leave I say to myself "That boy... he's growing up so fast." I look down at my baby. Gazing at his marshmallow-like cheeks as he snores cutely I tell him "your so cute, unlike that older brother of yours."
Flushing slightly as the memory of the last conversation I had with August comes to the forefront of my mind, I whispered down at Ash "I can't believe he asked about sex already!" Feeling myself tensing up slightly I brought him closer to my body.

Sprinting down the rocky paths of Pallet town I take in the surroundings as I pass by. The people chatting merrily to each other, Pokemon dancing about on the streets. Luscious trees towering over buildings imposingly like it was guarding the most treasured jewel. This was all captured as I rushed by making me smile unconsciously at the harmonious town.
I came up to the lab. It stands out in Pallet Town because it's a colossal wind turbine, on its outer surface there are a collection of windows, giving hints to what lies inside. A stony path weaves its way from up the hill towards the glass doors. It is surrounded by massive grassland as far as you can see, crowned in the centre is an immaculate forest bringing a painting-like look to the image. It is finished with a lovely clear blue stream running through.
Running up to the door I clench my fist and strike the door with three swift knocks.
*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*
I relaxed my arms when I heard "coming" shouted out from behind the door. After the door was opened I was presented with the welcoming smile of Professor Oak. As the sun struck him I took a moment to study his appearance. He is a middle-aged man with pitch-black eyes and smooth bronze skin from spending too much time in the sun. He also has soft grey hair, and thick, bushy eyebrows. He wears a clean white lab coat, a well-kept, light maroon polo shirt, a dark brown belt with worn matching loafers and coffee coloured trousers.
"Hi, August what brings you here?" he asked smiling jovially, with a twinkle of curiosity shining in his eyes. "Hi, Professor Oak! I'm here to see Daisy, I want to go watch the pokemon by the lake and read up on some books there." I could feel the anticipation inside of me, which I knew must have been clearly shown on my face for Professor Oak laughed out loud with amusement seeping out onto his face.
Patting me on the head, ruffling my hair with his callous hands he spoke out with an amused tone "Yes yes, of course, she will August she has been quite bored without you around lately." He takes back his hand, turns and calls inside, "Daisy! August is here and he was wondering if you wanted to go to the lake with him?"
*Crashing noises*
We both looked on with our lips curling up at the noises. After a couple of seconds, Daisy came out with her face turning crimson red at seeing our amused faces. She shyly looks on with embarrassment as understanding dawns on her.
Looking on at Daisy I can see that she is wearing the same outfit as she wore last time. Looking up at her I smiled "come on Daisy lets go!" I shouted excitedly, my body pumped with energy. I grabbed her hand as I turned to run down the road with Professor Oak watching on in fondness.
After rushing through the town we eventually reached a clearing. Rocks were scattered around and there was fresh green grass leading up to the lake. Trees surrounded the lake like guards. Walking up to the lake we gazed upon it, the translucent water with the radiance of the sun bouncing off of it.
Pokemon swimming freely, Goldeens jumping up spraying water everywhere, Magikarps swimming about in schools. Off to the side near the rocky edge, you can see families of Poliwag's talking to each other in bliss. Groups of Tatacools huddled together basking in the warm sun. Rarely you will see a Staryu come out from the bottom and jump to join in with the Goldeen's, painting a beautiful picture of serenity.
We both looked on in awe, no matter how many times we see it. "So beautiful..." I hear Daisy say. We both started to let the tension leave us and allow ourselves to relax, sitting on the edge of the soft grass with our feet dipping into the cool water. We lie down and get comfortable, just taking in the sheer presents of the atmosphere. The peacefulness and joy of it all.
The Pokemon must have sensed something as they started to come over to us. Coming to us they started to tug lightly on our hands and legs as if they wanted to play. Feeling a calmness seeped into us, we decided to play with them. We joined them in swimming as well as some other games in the water, one in which entailed a pair of Goldeens lifting us into the air while others either jumped over us doing tricks or splashed water onto us.
Soon we became exhausted and fell asleep on the cloud-like grass. The Pokemon that didn't require water to breathe all huddled around us. Some on our arms, some simply pressed up against our bodies. The pokemon that had to stay in the water watched on as if guarding the two small children, creating a captivating picture.

Waking up, I sit up and look around, only to find all of the Pokemon gone. Looking over to my right I see daisy holding onto a small Pokemon. It is a shabby, old-looking fish-like Pokemon with a light brown body covered in dark, irregular spots. It has large, deep-set eyes and big, pink lips. The tail and pectoral fins were dull blue and tattered in appearance. The dorsal fin is triangular with a hole in the middle.
I looked on in wonder as what this pokemon was dawned on me. I do not doubt that my surprise was evident upon my face. I just have never seen it here before! "I wonder what pokemon it is?" I whispered to myself afraid of waking up Daisy. I relaxed my body while looking at this odd Pokemon, I can tell something is different about this pokemon from its deceiving look.
Turning around to look at the whole area I spotted something weird in the tree line. My brow creased up into a frown as I walked over to it. After slowly walking over to the tree and putting my hand onto the rough surface of the oak tree, I craned my head to look up through the canopy and I saw.. what is that!? "It's a Pokemon egg" I shouted out loud as I became astonished. I remember Professor Oak telling me that it is a rare thing to see a Pokemon egg in the wild.
I sucked in a breath when the tree started to shake! I looked up in horror as the egg started to fall. After stretching my arms out to their limits I began jumping. When I caught the egg a smile spread across my face, joyously I looked down at the egg and released a heavy breath. Losing the tension in my limps I became weak. Still shaken by from what had almost happened I looked down only to realise that I was still in the air! I braced myself as my strength returned and simply waited for the impact.
*CRASH*
As the dust settled, pain surfaced into my mind. From the pain penetrating into my mind, I knew I was badly injured. Once my slightly fogged head became clear, my thoughts settled on the egg. I looked up to see if it was okay, eyes glowing with worry. I laid my gaze properly for the first time upon the egg only to become confused. "Why is this egg so weird!?"
