Beside him, Sigrid merely tilted her head. The ringlets of her pale dark and white hair caught the light, gleaming like a halo of frost.

"You don't need to worry about that," she said. "As long as you play your part. And is a Sponsor really needed if you and other Living Origins will constantly be watching my back?"

Altheon did not argue.

"I understand, Young Miss," he said, bowing his head slightly. "I will get started."

His luminous figure shimmered and faded.

The golden haze blanketing the frozen domain dissipated slowly.

And all around them, time returned to its flow.

The Masters of Existence and Primarchs stirred once more.

None of them knew. None of them even noticed. Their expressions remained unchanged, their thoughts continuing along paths interrupted only by the barest blink. As if no pause had ever occurred.

They resumed looking around, eyes filled with anticipation and awe.
